This model has now been discontinued. Maintenance of machines is minimal: the bars should
be kept clean and lubricated (3in1 oil or similar) to allow smooth movement.
Eventually the toothed wheels which operate the belts may split which
prevents the grub screws clamping them to the shaft. Replacement with aluminium wheels is
suggested.
Memory back-up battery: Original pcbs were fitted with NiCd back-up batteries.
After about ten years these are liable to leak, causing corrosion which may destroy
the pcb. If you have a machine with one of these back-up batteries fitted we
recommend very strongly that you replace it. There is a NiMH type which is a direct
replacement. The replacement is green, the original blue.
